What a clear and obvious example of unpacking all the lies and brainfogged fuckery around this. Bravo for you dear boy. Enough is enough attacking a bunch of women 68-88 is the act of one of these cowardly “freedom fighters.” All it results in is a ban on Arab refugees seeking asylum. I an a Zionist in that I believe Israel has a right to exist and a Jewish state needs to exist because of antisemitism. I am also with Bend the arc and other concerned peaceful Jews who want a viable two state solution and the renegade settlers either out of the West Bank or living in peace with their Arab neighbors instead of killing them and or vandalizing their land, killing or stealing their livestock and withholding water from them and stealing their homes. Let peace be— return any hostages still alive and let the peace makers negotiate. Appointed Gazan officials to round up the last of Hamas bring them to justice and finally have their own state side by side with Israel as both begging the healing process.
Some people don't like Jews. The ADL recently states that if you say negative things about Israel you will be classified as anti semitic person. The rise in negative attitudes towards Jews is unfortunate. However, as a Jewish person I have lived through times with all kinds of anti semitic diatribes and attacks against Jews; and when I was child a hotel refused lodging to my grandfather, with me in tow---because he looked semitic. This is not grounds to generalizable to right wing Christian gangs---or Palestinians----of Father Christmas.
You and I come from different perspectives on this issue, for sure. The Israelis are busy committing genocide, and killing tens of thousands of innocent people. If some Palestinians get unruly at a rally, well, so be it. It's hard to watch Palestinian kids be shot by IDF at close range or up to 1,000 yards, film it and put it on social media. It causes one to get unruly in protest. Even shout loudly. Human behavior has a context.
Many of us were locked up for protesting for civil rights in the 60's thru the 80's. Pro-Palestinian, pro-two state solution, pro civil rights for Palestinians, pro-marches, protests, and cultural expression without threat, defunding, or violence for speaking up --is what our Palestinian group stands for----right here in Medellin. We welcome Jews, Muslims, Catholics, and all. Straight or gay or other, Black or White. We remain Pro-Palestinian, not anti semitic. You are always welcome to join us, and learn something new and humane. From the river to street 43.
Wayne, dear friend: data please, and disciplined thinking. Do you mean Palestinian movement in Israel, Asia, Australia, Egypt, U.S, or here in Medellin? Which Palestinian protests or marches have you attended? Is it qualitative research? I don't recall seeing you at any of our peaceful Palestinian protests on street 43; or conducting interviews. They have been ongoing for over one year--no one hit, no one even yelled at--just informative. We have people attend from world over. Our gatherings are not represented in your missives. I invite you to attend our meetings; or watch films by and for Palestinians. We pirate them from Europe. They can't get produced or distributed in the U.S.; most Palestinian artists or intellectuals in the US, for example, can't get grants, or open art shows, or promote their beliefs. Professors get themselves fired for representing Palestinians positively. The street is one of the only places that remain to express oneself. I don't control social media. But, if you want to do an actual qualitative research study of the growth of anti semitism on social media, we could set up and conduct a study, then, report results, without condemning the 'Palestinian Movement' or Palestinians. Over generalization from narrow or data less points is, at least, unwarranted. It's like making generalizations about humans because some flip out and shoot people on trains or in churches, or synagogues or mosques. There is no uniform Palestinian movement....not even the Democratic Party is uniform. Sharpen thy thinking. Best to you.
Craig--I'm glad you weren't at Kristallnacht. "There sure is a lot of glass, but do you have a spreadsheet?" I'm all for academic studies, but there is also real world evidence.
-- Just go online and look what is being said
-- Did you miss the flame throwing incident in Denver? The murder of the Jewish couple in DC? Or the attempt to burn down the home of Gov. Josh Shapiro? Here is an excerpt from the NYT:
The man charged with setting fire to the Pennsylvania governor’s mansion staged the attack because he believed Gov. Josh Shapiro’s stance on the war in Gaza was leading to the deaths of Palestinians, according to a police search warrant made public on Wednesday.
Wake up, and take off those rose colored glasses. There is a violent element within your movement that wants the end of Israel and death to Jews.
But if you insist on statistics to back the obvious:
In 2024, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) recorded 9,354 antisemitic incidents in the U.S., marking the highest annual total since tracking began in 1979. This represents a 5% increase from 2023 and an 893% rise over the past decade.
Approximately 58% of these incidents were tied to criticism of Israel, particularly in response to its military actions in Gaza.
Europe:
Germany: Antisemitic incidents nearly doubled in 2024, with 8,627 cases reported, up from 4,886 in 2023.
France: The country recorded 1,570 antisemitic incidents in 2024, maintaining historically high levels.
United Kingdom: The Community Security Trust (CST) reported 4,103 antisemitic incidents in 2023, a 147% increase from 2022. The first half of 2024 saw nearly 2,000 incidents, the highest ever recorded in a six-month period.
Belgium: A 1,000% increase in antisemitic incidents was reported in the two months following the outbreak of the Gaza war compared to similar periods in previous years.
Global:
The Combat Antisemitism Movement documented 6,326 antisemitic incidents globally in 2024, a 107.7% increase from 2023.
A report by the World Zionist Organization and the Jewish Agency for Israel indicated a 340% rise in global antisemitic incidents from 2022 to 2024.
This is just a snapshot of what's going on. Stop defending the indefensible. If I can acknowledge the extremism in radical Jewish groups and ideologies, why can't you admit the cancer rapidly metastasizing within your own movement?
Sharpening thinking begins with truth and accepting facts.
I read your article carefully. I'm still looking for data, historical facts, or any complexity that addresses reality. What Palestinian movement are you talking about? That in itself is an abstraction. It is a movement characterized by national boundaries, historical determinations and conditions. There have been many 'visions' for peace all blocked by Israel from day 1. Israel wants the Palestinians erased from history. Check the actual data on suppression of Palestinians in US and Israel. They are banned from delivering lectures, showing art exhibits, and protesting--legally. When a writer or opinionated person lacks historical research, actual data, actual grounded evidence of any sort, one ends up seeing 'provocative and shrill' Palestinians--nonsense. Yapping with the written word is no substitute for rigorous thinking, research, consideration of actual events, and contradictions. Your article is a roadmap to nowhere. You have no idea what a real roadmap would look like. I know, why not promote Oslo Agreements. They are as useless as your article.
It’s a roadmap you would be wise to take. Or—expect the same results.
You ask—what Palestinian movement are you talking about.
Bingo.
It’s a movement that never articulates what it wants. Is it 2 states or suicide bombers?
Until you sort this out, the Palestinians will go nowhere.
Heavily biased one-sided criticism isn’t complexity or data. It’s a jeremiad.
I strongly suggest you go on social media to see the endless antisemitic comments from the pro-Palestinian movement. Inhibitions on saying hideous things about Jews have fallen.
This movement is not what you’re presenting it as.
That said, your criticism of Netanyahu’s policies and Israel’s excessive behavior are accurate.
Thank you for your diatribe and ideology. The only items lacking are statistics, coherence, real players, and historical information--real meetings between parties for solutions, agendas, and outcomes. How many kids has Israel killed, imprisoned, and/or tortured?
The number is north of 17,000; 10,000 have been hooded and kidnapped; 85% report being
abused or tortured. What's left of Gaza after 40,000 bomb craters? What is the impact of dropping MK80 bombs, which decimate anyone living in a 400 yard radius? How many journalists has Israel killed....it was around 70 at last count, many with Press Written on their jackets. Israelis have killed 1,400 medical workers trying to help Palestinians. They utilize a policy of starvation to control the population. Trying reading the testimony of American and Arab doctors in Gaza---who operate on adults and kids without anesthesia because the Israelis block medical supplies.I know the rebuttal already: all the data is 'anti semitic', as are all the international NGO's and U.N.; and Israeli's actions are defensive.
Israel has no interest in peace. It funded Hamas at roughly $30 million per month. Netanyahu wants the area destabilized in order to appease religious Jews, and land grab. If you're interested in data, listen to the Israeli police investigation of Netanyahu--it's taped and available on the web.
While you are busy rounding up Hamas, try arresting IDF for war crimes, and crimes against humanity. The U.N. and international organizations have identified scores of IDF soldiers that have violated laws. You can find recent filings at Hind Foundation. Yes, I suppose they too are all anti semitic. Isn't everyone who disagrees with the packaged narrative.
The Palestinian movement is growing because recognition of their oppression is growing worldwide. For those of us who are Pro-Palestinian, and Jewish, we expect mature criticism from opponents not diatribes without data or merit.
It's unlikely you read my article. I actually agree that what Israel is doing in Gaza is wrong. What you conveniently omit was my very accurate criticism of the pro-Palestinian movement. It is often toxic and does no favors for Palestinians.
My article provides a vivid roadmap forward so the Palestinian movement can advocate without unnecessarily alienating so many potential allies. But, I suppose you prefer blindly and uncritically screaming: ISRAEL!!! and crooning "From the River to the Sea" and offering no vision for peace.
It's working so well, isn't it? Until you are willing to reflect on the provocative and shrill pro-Palestinian movement, you are unlikely to succeed.

The Trump administration is no friend of Jews. Project 2025 is its guiding document, which is anti-Democracy. Thanks for sharing the important video.
